"I'm so glad I discovered Mark Hosak's The Big Book of Reiki Symbols in a large bookshop in Mainz in 2004. That led me to step into Shingon Reiki Level 1 with Mark in April 2005. Even then I was immediately struck by the clarity and intensity with which Mark held the practitioners on the path."

Frequently asked

FAQ

What is The Big Book of Reiki Symbols?
An international bestseller by Dr. Mark Hosak that, for the first time, places the Reiki symbols in their cultural and historical context — with original sources from Japanese esoteric Buddhism, calligraphy instruction, and practice exercises.
When will the new Shingon Reiki book be released?
The book Mark Hosak and Eileen Wiesmann are writing together is currently in progress. It will bring the full Shingon Reiki practice into one volume — from the foundations to the advanced techniques. The release date will be announced through our newsletter.
Can I read the books without an initiation?
Yes. The books are written to be read and understood on their own. For the full experience of some practices an initiation is recommended, because certain techniques only unfold their effect once the ritual transmission has been received.
Which book do you recommend for the start?
The Big Book of Reiki Symbols is an ideal entry if you already practice Reiki and want to understand the symbols at depth. For a wider overview of Shingon Reiki practice we recommend keeping the upcoming book by Mark and Eileen on your radar.
